Historic Parramatta
Rowlingstock produced this video to give visitors a video record of many of the historic treasures of Parramatta. It was inspired by the enthusiastic response received from the non-railfan sector to our video on the Camden Line.
The Parramatta Advertiser's review stated
".....a moving tapestry of the city's history and it's landmarks, together with a tasteful music background score and quality commentary."
The video covers the exterior views of just about every historic place and building within an hour's walk from the city centre, including Lennox Bridge, St Johns Church and cemetery, lots of buildings, Lake Parramatta, the Hospital grounds and buildings, the oldest and most elegant homes, and a brief look at the railway station.. Also a short segment on the old Parramatta Steam Tram in George Street, plus the Vulcan loco and Rail motor in the park.
